Gift of Life Donor Program's

Team Penn Medicine

This year, the Team Penn Medicine will be led by co-captains Michelle Joaquin, BSN, RN, and Jaclynn Meindl, MSW, LSW, and they would love to have you on the team: “The Dash helps to maintain community awareness and provide education about organ donation,” Michelle explained. “It also raises crucial funds to support the important work of Gift of Life Donor Program. It’s an important way we can all celebrate organ donation and the lives donation affects, and it’s a way to honor those who have donated.”

When you join Team Penn Medicine and participate in the Donor Dash, you’ll be joining transplant professionals, pre-transplant patients, post-transplant patients, caregivers, living donors and donor family members – all coming together to support and promote organ donation.

Share Your Dash Story

“For me, one of the exciting parts about being part of the Dash is being able to celebrate the patients I’ve worked with as well as their families,” said co-captain Jaclynn Meindl, MSW, LSW. "For many, donation is a complicated decision and I feel honored to be able to commemorate and support the people who have chosen to donate for the good of others.”

Everyone has their own special reason for participating in the Donor Dash, and we'd love to hear yours. Email margaret.leid@uphs.upenn.edu with your motivation and inspiration to do the Dash, and we'll share what we learn in an upcoming blog post.
